Training and Consultancy - Action Project
CfED’s Action
Project is promoting the value of diversity.
The Action
Project funded by the Department for Communities and Local
Government, is working with public and private sector organisations
to develop strategies and policies to ensure equality in employment
opportunities.
The Project aims to:
-
Work with
employers to understand and explore discrimination and deal with
it effectively in the workplace.
-
Help
employers to increase their percentage of Black and Minority
Ethnic (BME) workforce.
-
Organise
in-house diversity training sessions with employers.
-
Help build
an enterprising society, encouraging self-employment in
disadvantaged communities and under represented groups.
-
Enable BME
staff to gain the knowledge and skills to be more effective in
their job and progress in their career.
-
Develop a
Diversity Employment Forum for local employers enabling the
sharing of good practice.
